Morning: (Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm)
INTENSIVE COURSES IN ITALIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE: 80 lessons in classes of max. 14-16 students, will help you to learn and speak Italian quicker. Our teachers are all young and friendly. We have students from all around the world and of all ages!
LEVELS: All levels from beginner to advanced are available.
In summer refresher courses for teachers are available. We also can arrange classes for: individual conversation, grammar, business Italian, Italian for opera singers, Italian for tourism and hotel industry, preparation courses for admission to Italian universities, courses for Erasmus students.
Afternoon
ITALIAN CULTURE LESSONS, EXCURSIONS AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Sports activities, linguistic games, cultural lessons, coach trips to discover the nearby historic towns, villages, natural sights such as the Frasassi caves, or visits to the businesses that produce some of the Marche’s traditional food and drink (wine, pasta, honey, cheese, salami etc). During all our activities you will be accompanied by our teachers so that you can learn Italian even while having fun!
Evening
Once or twice a week, the school organizes evening events with the students such as the welcome cocktail, the international dinner, film nigths, shows, the Italian music and song evening, and an enchanting dinner-party in a Renaissance Villa. These events are great fun and an ideal way to meet new Italilan friends, to get to know your fellow course mates and to improve your language.
Weekend
We will take you to some of Italy’s most beautiful cities: Florence, Bologna, Rome and the Vatican. There are optional trips to Venice, San Marino and Urbino, Siena and Pisa etc.
All our excursions are guided by our teachers and take place in comfortable tourist coaches.
FREE TIME
The study-holiday here in Recanati is full of things for you to do when you’re not in class, there’s a vast range of cultural and social activities to take part in, or you can decide for yourself what to do in your free time. Recanati is a small quiet town immersed in lush green scenery, yet strategically positioned and well connected to the rest of Italy. Pizzerias, restaurants and bars are open until late at night. Everything in Recanati is within walking distance; the residents are used to see students from all over the world and are welcoming and helpful, so talking to them is a great way to meet people and to practice your Italian in a friendly and safe environment.
SPORT FACILITIES
There are excellent facilities for sports lovers in Recanati. The hills around our school are a walker’s paradise! As well as walking and hiking in the countryside there’s:
- Mountain biking – Jogging
- Tennis (both indoor and outdoor)
- Football – Basketball – Volleyball
- Bocce (a very traditional Italian pastime)
- Skiing (70 km from the school)
IF YOU WANT TO DO SOME TRAVELLING ON YOUR OWN:
- The closest train station is Loreto which you can reach by bus. Travelling by train is the perfect way to reach many Italian destinations.
- Buses go to all major nearby towns
- Car hire (EuropCar, AVIS)
- Ancona-Falconara airport is only 40 km from the school with low-cost flights to Sicily, London, Paris and Barcelona.
- Ferries from Ancona port leave every day for Greece and Croatia.
Shopping
The Marche Region is a fantastic place for those who love to shop at bargain prices as some of the most famous Italian designers have factory outlets here such as Armani, Prada, Tod’s, Diego della Valle, Gabrielli, Guzzini, Biblos and the Marche’s speciality – shoes from some of the very best brands in Italy.
